Greetings from the Learning Ladybugs! I am a kindergarten teacher in a small, rural community. We have limited resources within our district, however we have been recognized for our achievements from our state! This rug would help me to open the room up for small group reading, a morning meeting area, and for individual time on an exciting and colorful rug! My classroom has some significant behavior needs. The squares on the rug would allow me to have assigned squares for each child to learn in!

My students come to school every day with bright smiles and a determination to learn. A fun and inviting carpet area would help me to provide an inviting classroom to all who enter. The students come from families with limited resources yet they manage to take active roles in their children’s education. This fun and inviting carpet area would provide a center point from which classroom activities would thrive.

This project will help my students by providing a classroom that is warm and inviting to all those who enter. My students love to read! This carpet will provide a fun place to read in our classroom and create special squares that each student can call his or her own.

Your donation will make it possible for me to allow the students to join me on the carpet for stories, reading time, small group lessons, and individual activities. You will be helping to make an ordinary classroom into a welcoming room for early learners!
