I teach Language Arts and Science on a team with special needs students who are mainstreamed into all classes.

Students with low reading levels struggle as they try to keep up with their peers, and they have a strong desire to read what others are reading and interact with them.

A desire for reading can be fostered by allowing students to listen to the book the class is reading on CD. It allows them to be a part of the book and become engaged.

Your help will insure that my special needs students are a part of every discussion and will make a difference in their life. As they begin to love learning through reading they will become stronger readers.
