Our goal is to establish a rich learning community in which students are exposed to the curriculum through multi-media.

During hands-on science projects, students are often unable to share their findings with the class because of the size of the materials. For example, in the winter and spring when we raise Atlantic salmon in the classroom, it's often difficult to discuss developmental changes in the salmon with the whole class. Throughout the fall we go into the woods during our forest ecosystem studies and bring back plant and insect samples to identify. There are many small items to share that are unobservable by the whole group. In social studies, we often have interesting documents and artifacts to share with the group but are unable to do so in a practical way.

With an Elmo Visual Presenter, we can bring even the smallest items to life for everyone to see. We'll be able to observe as the salmon hatch and develop from alevin to fry over the spring; we'll be able to involve the entire group in the identification of plant and insect species; and we'll be able to look upon historic documents and artifacts and discuss them as an entire class.

With the addition of a visual presenter in our classroom, we'll be able to observe the marvels of man and nature at a much greater level. With your assistance, we'll transform a traditional classroom setting into a multi-media center for learning!
