We immerse our students in technology on a daily basis! The 2nd graders at Fair Oaks Elementary enjoy the advantage of a classroom furnished with multiple computers, printers, and a teacher who values and inspires learning through fun and interactive technology lessons. We thrive in a child-centered environment that allows everyone to feel comfortable expressing themselves and learning from one another.

Our county claims to be the most technologically advanced in the state; however, that being said we still lack many needed resources to truly make this claim. Our children struggle with many socio-economic obstacles and often spend more time with their classroom teacher than their own parents. It is my goal to expose them to a variety of real world experiences and virtual "fieldtrips" as well as interactive websites through the use of multi-media.

An LCD projector would open up the endless world of internet resources! My students would have the benefit of daily interactive lessons and research activities. It would also allow for proper teaching of internet safety and introduce them to multi-media presentations.

By funding this request you will provide them with a daily interactive and engaging learning experience. This is an amazing opportunity to introduce disadvantaged students to a plethora of multi-media adventures!
