We live in Paradise, Michigan (no really, that's the name of the town) in a school district where every student falls into the free lunch/ high poverty category. Our district is very small with an average of around 30 students each year in grades K-12. We are located in a rural area where the closest signs of civilization are an hour away. I am the English teacher for every student in grades 6-12 this year, with my largest class being the entire Middle School with 8 students. Being such a small school, it gives great opportunity for one on one time to help students when they need it the most.
