My students range in age from 3 to 6 years old and have been diagnosed with autism and related disorders. They spend 5 days a week in my class and stay with me for 2 years. My kids are overwhelmed by their bodies and come to me with little or no ability to communicate, having little connection to the people and the world around them. However, just because they can't speak, does not mean they have nothing to say! My job is to help my students meet their full potential, focusing on building connections with people and facilitating communication development. In order to do this, they first must be able to manage the way their bodies feel.

About my class
