My students range in different ages and grades. Our 'elementary school' includes Kindergarten to 8th grade. The instrumental music students are all eager to learn and grow as future musicians. Each day a student walks into the classroom they are excited to learn something new as we get closer to performances. Many of these students find their music class to be a form of recess for them and enjoy playing their instruments more than running around outside. These students are also beginning to make the connection between music and other subjects and can see their understanding of math as well as their grades improve across the different grade levels.
