After teaching for 22 years at the elementary level, I decided to make-the-move to middle! 6th graders are also transitioning into a new learning environment! I could not imagine my pre-teens coming to school for 8 hours a day sitting in desks. I knew I had to change things up in order to meet the needs of my active learners. I want an environment that promotes engaged, active learning. I also want students who are happy to come to class! I know that with flexible seating in the 6th grade math classroom, my students will care about their education because they know they feel important and welcomed.
