My students in Madison, Wisconsin, are a highly-diverse, high-poverty, energetic group that are excited to have new learning experiences. My students learn in English, Spanish, American Sign Language or some combination of the three at school! They are in 3rd-5th grade.
Our school puts a high priority on growth mindset and collaboration.
Students work on problem solving in all academic areas and social settings throughout the school day. We are continuously looking for ways to help them to grow through experiences.
My Project
We have been growing our elementary school musical each year for the past three years. Each year we strive to make our play have just a little more "wow factor."
We would love to help the students in our ensemble feel more like stars!
We continue to struggle to have enough light on our cast and for our students who do not wear microphones to be heard by the audience.
We will use the colored lights to add versatility to our lighting, making it easier for our audience to see our cast and set the mood for different scenes. The directional microphone will help amplify our ensemble, who often sing in the most important parts of songs.
