I am an instructional coach in a low-income/high poverty school district with students who are very transient. Our students are constantly faced with challenges. Providing exciting, meaningful educational experiences that they can carry throughout their lives is key.
Our students are enthusiastic learners who are open to new experiences!
Like everyone, they love feeling successful. I want to help support these students and their classroom teachers in creating and implementing these successful experiences.
Many of our students are being raised by a single parent or even grandparents, and the entire school receives fee free lunches. Often these students don't have early education experiences (Pre-K) or don't have the opportunities that support foundational skills. Providing exciting, learning activities that are engaging is a great way to help these amazing children begin the road to being lifelong learners.
The LFH National Award Winning Math Team is in need of some dry erase boards to prepare for the 2018-2019 Richmond County District Math Competition and Nationwide MathFest Competition. We have about 65 students who are competing at the Nationwide MathFest Competition where 1st through 8th grade math students compete for awards and prizes.
Our math team students, grades 1-5, are eager to be the best mathematicians they can be!
Our scholars need dry erase boards and markers to practice their math skills and show what they know. It's an easy way for them to work independently and cooperatively, and the team coach can quickly assess their progress. With your help, their practice time will help prepare them to continue the amazing progress and recognition they've gained already.
