My Students

Ours is a rural school district that services a large number of impoverished students. This year our entire school receives free breakfast and lunch because of the economic status of most of our student body. Many of our students live in what would be considered substandard housing. We also serve a significant population of homeless students that are living with other families until they can afford their own housing arrangements. Our district has attempted to keep our kids up to date with technology but we have not had the extra funds to provide the extra opportunities that this project will provide.

I would love to give my students the opportunities that will prepare them for a bright future in the technology field.

My Project

My students have been learning how to code for a couple years. Although it is cool to make a program and watch the computer do what they have programed it to do, it will be even more exciting to write a program that tells a drone what to do.

Drones and programing will be an important part of my students future.

With this project my students will get access to and experience with technology that could inspire them to not only make a career out of what they learn but also inspire them to create something the world has never seen before.
