Students at my school have the opportunity to participate in a musical production. This opportunity is open for students in grades third through sixth. The students involved in this group have a wide range of abililities and personalities. They represent diverse, socio-economic backgrounds from across our community.
Students get the opportunity to show their creativity and and try something new.
Students will gain skills of independence through memorization and practice of lines, music and choreography. The students in this group are hard working and motivated to see this project through to the end.
My Project
This project will help provide materials for students and staff to make creative and artistic costumes and set for our school musical. This year, our musical will be Disney's The Lion King Jr.
Students and staff have worked together to visualize creative costumes and set design to help make our performance come to life.
The burlap ribbon will be used to make the lion masks of the main characters of Mufasa, Simba, and Scar. The animal print material will be used to make safari animal costumes. The feathers and other materials will be used to make our Rafiki costumes. The queen sized sheets and other materials will be used to create our backgrounds of the Pridelands, the Elephant Graveyard, and the Jungle scenes.
All of these materials will enhance our experience and help make our Musical memorable for the students.
