My Students

At my current school, I teach 27 extremely bright and active hands-on learners. These students love learning through explorations and hands on activities. Technology engages my students in the content they are learning but unfortunately we do not have adequate technology to explore the world of engineering and robotics.

We are a low income school in the Sacramento area who come from bilingual families and receive free or reduced lunch.

Our school is striving to become a school of innovation and provide our students with the experiences necessary to acquire the knowledge and skills to effectively use technology.

My Project

The sphero robots we have requested will allow my students to gain important knowledge and skills through the use of technology. As we begin to integrate STEAM activities into our daily schedule, we need additional technological resources to be able to gain hands on experience with the concepts we are learning such as coding.

The experiences my students will gain through the use of the sphero robots will prepare them for the technological work force they will be entering in the years to come.

Many of my students come from low income families who are unable to provide these types of experiences at home, making it an important mission to provide these opportunities in the classroom.
