My students are creative, clever and eager to learn. They come to class every day excited to actively engage in 4th grade content. From math, to science, to Language Arts... they are always putting in their best effort.
From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me.
By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire each and every one of our learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
Interactive, hands-on learning is key to student success. This project will help bring math and literacy to life, allowing students to learn through game play and keeping them highly engaged while they master skills crucial to their success as learners.
Research shows that students learn best when they are actively engaged in learning.
The topple blocks will be used in small groups to complete learning games in both math and literacy. They will work in small groups to answer questions on inference, main idea, sequencing and key details. They will also engage in math activities. The game element will keep interest high as they work to master skills key to 4th grade learning. The cards and dice will be used as a way to engage students while playing games in math. These games will help solidify key skills such as multiplication, division and place value.
