I currently have a group of well-rounded, diverse, and inquisitive students. I could not have hand picked a better class when it comes to eagerness to learn. They are observant and interested in every spectrum of education.
Our community has very few activities for children.
What they do at school is a large basis of their experiences, as many have not and will not venture from this town until they are adults. I put fun into all activities and hope they continue to see the fun in learning in their future years.
My Project
A good night's sleep should be a top priority for a young child. Many children are not accustomed to this. They are lacking in hygiene products such as shampoo, a clean towel, and a brush for their hair. They may not own comfort items such as a bedtime buddy (stuffed animal), their own pillow and blanket, or a blanket that they do not have to share.
Being fresh and clean plus being comfortable enough to sleep well will help these students have a fresh mind for the school day.
A new pair of pajamas after a fruity smelling bath will help calm the sensory receptors and enable the children to relax and possibly even fall asleep faster. In a world of go-go-go, knowing that they can come home to their own special bath and bedtime items is a reassurance of security that they may not currently have.
