My students make my classroom special because they are more like family than a bunch of students. Because we are at such a small school, we get to know our students so much better and really get to know their families as well! This makes learning so much more fun for me and for them.
It is also special for the parents because I feel like we are more connected and on the same page about the direction of student learning.
My Project
I began working on my Master's degree a few years back. Now, I only have two classes left to complete it. I love to learn new things in the degree of education because I can actually apply everything I learn to my students' learning!
I'm really excited about my upcoming Finance course because I will be teaching my students 'Personal Financial Literacy' this coming spring.
This project will help fund a textbook for the curriculum, and will also help fund the post-it notes to help keep me organized and on task. I think my students will really enjoy knowing that I have to take a finance course along with them. I'm so thankful to be able to share knowledge and experiences with them, as well.
The information I learn within this book will help me with my own professional development, helping me to better teach my students Financial Literacy in the classroom next semester.
