The mission of the Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD is to graduate young adults with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in an ever-changing technological society. To accomplish this, LCM administration, faculty and staff strive to provide the necessary educational components that will help students discover their talents, gifts, abilities and interests, preparing them to be life-long learners.

District students have distinguished themselves in all arenas - academic, athletic, fine arts and vocational. All campuses participate in activities that benefit the community and are encouraged to be exceptional citizens in all that they do, developing positive habits that will last a lifetime. An emphasis on STEM throughout all campuses prepares students to meet the challenges of the Twenty-First Century.

LCM High School holds the District 4-A UIL Academic Meet title, which they have held for seven consecutive years. Several of the teams have finished in the top three or four at State, as have individual students. This resulted in LCM’s Academic Team being rated Fifth in State in 2019.

LCM High School offers a wide variety of Career and Technology classes to prepare students who prefer that route following graduation. These include agriculture, building trades, business, computer science, cosmetology, engineering, family & consumer science, health sciences, technology, veterinary tech and welding.

LCMCISD has a strong fiscal history, as evidenced by the top ratings in transparency on the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST), and the Gold and Platinum Circle Awards from the Texas State Comptroller.
