Compton Unified School District, located in South Los Angeles, is a district of dedicated students, parents, teachers and staff that is elevating. Our mission is to empower leaders to lead, teachers to teach, and students to learn by fostering an environment that encourages leaders and teachers to be visionary, innovative, and accountable for the achievement of all students.

We achieve our mission by investing in infrastructure and facilities, professional development of staff, innovative instructional approaches and educational technology. We also accomplish our mission by ensuring that every student is supported so that they can reach their full potential and access not only a quality education, but also lifelong success. We work to close the opportunity gap by providing students equitable access to STEAM education and engaging parents and community through STEAM events. As a result, we have seen student math and language arts scores increase, as well as graduation rates (nearing 90%).

We are proud of our district and our accomplishments as we continue to work on behalf of all students, to ensure they have every resource possible to assist them in dreaming big and fulfilling those dreams.
