I will use the books to implement social emotional learning in my classroom to help students deal with problems they may face and to build positive relationships with my students. The books will also help foster lessons across my curriculum in all content areas such as reading, writing, and math. Reading aloud to students helps them to hear what a good readers sounds like, hear new vocabulary, explore places they have never heard of, and to make connections to the text. Holding a real book in your hands and reading the words is a powerful thing for early readers/ students.
