As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Many of my students are being raised in single parent households and receive free or reduced lunch based on their socioeconomic status. Despite the challenges they may face, I am looking for ways to provide my students with opportunities to be creative and successful while having meaningful learning experiences. A majority of the students in my classes do not have access to necessary resources.
