Students’ success in school is determined by so many variables, and I believe having choice in how they learn is one of the most influential. This project would allow my students to choose a place in the room where they are most comfortable and able to learn. For example, students who have difficulty focusing can take a Floor Seat to a quiet corner of the room to be able to focus better. Students who like to be moving or fidgeting will benefit from using a Balance Ball seat at their table. My goal is simply to create an environment where students are not stuck in cold metal chairs and desks, but are situated around the room learning comfortably in a way they chose. Students in this type of environment are far more likely to succeed because they are engaged, relaxed, and feeling secure.
