My students will learn about grammar and vocabulary through the use of embedded practice. By providing language therapy using embedded practice with materials that are correlated to the curriculum, students transfer learned skills to generalized, everyday tasks much faster! As a new Speech Language Pathologist completing my Clinical Fellowship in a middle school, I have very limited existing materials. Teachers Pay Teachers has a wide range of materials including items that are specifically geared towards the middle school levels. My students work on goals such as increasing sentence complexity, using proper grammar and syntax (like using correct subject/verb agreement and proper conjunctions). By using these materials to address students’ goals, my students will be able to not only master these important skills in my therapy room, but to be able to transfer these skills to the general education classroom, at home, and across all settings in the community.
