Yes, it's easy to sit in columns and rows, or even small groups at a desk, but wouldn't it be amazing to come front and center and gather with peers to learn, collaborate, and discuss a variety of classroom topics? Well, that's exactly what my students will be able to do with this magic carpet. This magic carpet will assist my students and me in developing a strong collaborative community within our classroom. This classroom carpet will allow mini lessons to take placed in an up-close and personal setting instead of my students sitting far away from me and one another when learning. I have intentionally selected this carpet because of its boldness and the cursive writing examples it will give to my 5th-grade scholars. This magic carpet will definitely bring a sense of magic into our classroom by bringing our reading and writing workshops to life each and every day.
