My students need games and sidewalk chalk for mentoring days at school. I mentor 24 children throughout the school year. My school takes part in the Leader In Me initiative, and we have monthly mentoring/club meetings for our students based on their interests. Research has proven that board games play a integral role in child growth and development. Board games help children acquire logical and reasoning skills, boost critical thinking, and acquire spatial reasoning. Playing board games also teaches children how to deal with winning and losing, and they help them with social and communication skills. Please help me provide my students with games such as Jenga, Sorry, Break the Ice, Headbandz, Operation, Hungry Hippos, Twister, Connect Four, and other popular board games and activities (corn hole) to help them practice essential cognitive skills like problem solving as well as social-communication skills and learning to work together. Sidewalk chalk will be used to play games like tic tac toe and hopscotch. Please help me provide my students with relationship building toolkits.
