My class consists of 15 Pre-Kindergarten students who are diverse both culturally and socioeconomically. They attend a Title I school in a high poverty area. All of my students receive free lunch. Nearly all of them come into the classroom knowing no letters or numbers, and are unable to even recognize their name. My students are very enthusiastic and eager to learn. They love to explore the world around them. They are hard workers and strive to do their best each day. My students have a drive to succeed in the classroom; however, they lack the materials necessary to reach their goals. I try to provide as many resources and materials as possible to help them prepare for future grades, especially college.
