My students live in a rural area of South Carolina. We are nearing the fifth year of existence at our school campus. Over 68% of the families in our attendance zone live at or below the poverty level. Due to their low socio-economic status, the majority of my students do not have access to the educational resources needed to be successful in school. My students lack simple tools such as a wide variety of rich literature and even more so technology. My students are eager to use chromebooks, iPads, electronic tablets, etc.but funding is an issue. My students need these prevalent resources that are so common in our society at their fingertips in order to be competitive in the world of work that awaits them. These students will change the world. Please assist me as I help equip them with the necessary tools for success. Let's empower the future and encourage these scholars to dream big and make it happen.
