As an educator, it is my responsibility to find ways to motivate students every day. The Gold Coin Project allows teachers/staff to reward students not only in their classrooms but around the entire campus. Students receive a good note home from the administration which allows them to share their success with their parents. They are also recognized in class and also receive a prize from our office treasure box. Each student on campus has individual wants and needs and the products through DonorsChoose will allow for us to cater to those student wants. The students that have earned a trip to the office treasure box will be rewarded with a prize of their liking. This will help to encourage the positive behaviors on campus and encourage others to do the same as well. This project not only benefits students who make good choices at all times but is a motivator for those students who may need an extra push or be recognized for their efforts. Each child is an individual with individual needs and if the gold coin project can meet that need, then that is why it was started. This donation will help teachers and staff to encourage students and reward those positive choices.
