These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because it is hands-on and promotes higher order thinking skills and problem solving skills. The lessons that will be taught will be letter and sound recognition and word making. They will be working independently learning how to problem solve and increase their critical higher order thinking. My students have never been exposed to such materials and this would make learning more fun and engaging. It is a proven fact that when children are engaged, having fun and responsible for their learning they are more likely to be a successful reader.
