I just became certified as a yoga and mindfulness instructor with Breathe for Change. I have never experienced any program or staff development more effective in creating a safe place for individuals to be themselves and strive. I have three hundred students every year and the main thing they complain about is stress. I know my students have stressful lives. I am confident they will benefit greatly for a yoga club. As a health teacher, I have a vested interest in the mental health and well-being of my students. My commitment is to start a mindfulness and yoga club at YMHS. Mindfulness, selfmanageent, and yoga will be great tools they can use to protect mental health now and into the future.
