My students are entering their first year of middle school where they will be asked to think deeply and work hard each day. My students have a variety of different abilities but they all have one thing in common, they work much better when they are allowed options about where they sit within my classroom. Gone are the days where they all sit in regular desks and chairs. My cherubs work best when they are allowed to use wiggle stools, standup desks, and sit on the rug to complete their work. I currently have 1 wiggle stool and they rush into class and beg to use it. It amazing the difference it makes for many of the students. Suddenly with a little movement they are able to complete their work with much less difficulty.
