The materials that I am requesting will allow our school to include social/emotional learning in the general education classrooms as well as provide additional resources for our parents, support staff and school mental health staff. Children love books and enjoy stories and people that they can relate too. These books will be an invaluable resource for our students and the adults in our school. Teachers will be able to use these books and activities during read aloud times and they will be able to integrate skills into their curriculum that may otherwise not be included. The simple activities will be engaging and fun for students, parents and teachers and will hopefully lead way to conversation and rapport among all members of each community. Through this resource it is my hope that social/emotional growth will occur in our students.
