Our students run the gamut at the Academy for Technology and the Classics. We are a public charter school with representations from all socioeconomic backgrounds, family types, faiths, races, and ways of thought. Three years ago, we offered two sports: cross country and swimming. Two years ago we offered three full sports and two probationary sports: cross country, girls' soccer, swimming, boys' basketball, and track and field. Last year we offered three full sports and three probationary sports: cross country, girls' soccer, swimming, basketball, and track and field. This year we will offer five full sports: cross country, girls' soccer, swimming, basketball, and track and field. Each year has seen more wins, more state qualifiers, more points accumulated by teams at state meets, and more recognition in the local newspaper. Our school is consistently ranked in the top of the state according to US News World and Report and our state grading system, yet we are still on the rise!
