My students are a diverse group of young adults who work hard towards a better future for themselves and their families. Being able to experience education in different, non-traditional ways is an important part of their learning process. Most of my students have never been on a plane or to a big city, so as a result, I am always looking for unique & cross-curricular opportunities to enlarge their educational horizons. One of my favorite things to do as a teacher is to help them to learn something new about History and experience it in such a way that they know it is not dead, but very much alive!
