Respect for history and culture is paramount in our society. Our students will be using interviewing techniques and documentary filmmaking to catalog and preserve the history of our community. In addition to learning about research, interviewing techniques, and making films, students will explore what makes us human and how we insure that stories are passed from one generation to another. Our students will use the 360 camera to record footage and create virtual field trips for those interested in learning about our community. Students will use mobile devices and surveys to interview members of their families and other members of our community. We will also invite local legislators to speak to students as to what our community could look like in the future. Our students will learn about the importance of understanding our past to insure a more robust future.
