Imagine this... You just finished taking a math test which was super strenuous and you start walking towards art class. You walk in and take a nice deep breath and can finally unwind after a long hard day of classes! "Ahhh - Finally! Art class" you whisper. You grab a seat and look up on the board to see the fun drawing prompt of the day which asks you to combine 2 of your favorite animals together into one! This should be quite fun you think to yourself! You look around and unfortunately are forced to grab a small sheet of paper which will eventually be thrown out or lost by the end of class to draw your prompt on. You then reach into the bucket of colored pencils, only to pick up a broken grey colored pencil. There are only 4 colors left, none of which you really wants to use. Now you can't even use the pink and blue colored pencils you wanted to in order to join together your pig and dolphin because they aren't there! Now the class you wanted to relax in, is already stressing you out! That is the last thing I want students to experience in art class! Art is the only way our students are able to "run away" without actually leaving our school. If you help donate towards our art classroom, you will not only invest in our classroom supplies ... but you will be investing in our children's creativity and above all, mental well-being. Art class is the one time in a day students can truly unwind and escape the troubles of the world. Please help me give our students the art class they need and deserve!
