Notebooks are used to organize assignments and utilize as a resource. I also use an INB (Interactive Notebook) for hands on instruction which requires a lot of glue. We will categorize 10 Units and the notebook allows them to tab units and warm ups and refer back to there work. We also chart data so they can actually visualize where they need to concentrate their efforts. These notebooks are then passed to the 8th grade teacher for reviewing STAAR material at the beginning of the following year. The notebooks enable the students to organize and categorize units and always have them available in the classroom. They love to be creative with them and enjoy seeing their work the next year.
