I teach special education students at one of the three middle schools in our town. Our free and reduced lunch rate is at 50%; higher than it has ever been. Our students lack resources, both in and outside of school, to make the learning gains we would hope for. In order to use a computer, many students have to make arrangements to go to the public library, which then presents a problem of transportation for our students. If we had a set of Chromebooks here for them to use, they could use the school's transportation to get home.

About my class
