Building out our speech library allows me to introduce my students to a variety of literary work and structure our sessions around new and exciting texts. Using our library, we will explore new vocabulary, new concepts, and new story structures building on receptive & expressive language skills. Supporting language development through literacy based interventions helps bridge the gap between success in our sessions to success in the classroom. Our students have limited exposure to picture books and texts at home and giving them access is crucial to their success at school!
