This rug will help my kindergartners to understand the rules and routines of circle time. With the different colored squares, each child will have their own individual spot. The colors will help them remember their spot day after day, and it will create a consistent routine in our classroom. The squares will also allow my students to have their own space during circle time, and help to learn to respect others' personal space. It will keep my students from crawling around on the rug or arguing over who gets to sit where. This rug will enable my students to focus their minds and bodies on the content of circle time without becoming distracted or worrying about where they should sit.

About my class
