I teach Physical Science in Bolivar, MO. I am a Google Guru and I love to make a student's learning experience personal and engaging! I work hard every year to add more 'problem based' learning activities to my curriculum. One example is to have students calculate when the bucket will fill with water and spill over - yeah, it requires students to gather information from a variety of sources! Sound difficult? It is and kids LOVE it. I also have an interest in Environmental Science so I use concepts in Physical Science and apply them to saving the Earth! Every year my students construct a miniature town called Suburbia that is 'off the grid'. This project was initially funded by The Toshiba Foundation and is now self-sufficient. Overall, my favorite part of being a 10th grade teacher is that I enjoy the company of teenagers. Some call me strange. I call myself blessed!
