As an adult, how many of us do our best thinking sitting still? Why should we believe that it works for our students? Second graders have a drive to discover more about the world around them using all their senses. Utilizing the movement of a wobble seat helps students to be more alert and attentive. Unlike a standard chair, a wobble stool shifts with a child's natural movements. Why should we restrict a child’s natural need for movement? As educators, we should redirect this need in a positive way. By creating this freedom, we are enabling students to focus on the task at hand and show us their true potential.
