These materials will help my upper elementary students by getting them out of their desks. Students will have more room to stretch their legs instead of sitting in a cramped desk. Tables in the class room will provide better opportunities for my students to work together in groups and with their partners. During our reading lessons. Students are asked to turn and talk with their partners which is really hard to do in a desk. At tables students can get closer together to be able to hear their partner and share their thoughts. During our independent reading time, students are asked to find somewhere comfortable to read in the room. With tables in the room there is more space for students to find spots to read around the room.
