Sensory play is very beneficial to a child's learning. It helps develop fine motor skills, oral language and problem solving skills. It can also help facilitate social interaction amongst peers when taking turns and sharing. The materials requested will allow my students to develop essential skills while exploring through their senses. There will be enough kinetic sand so that more than two children can play at once. The foam beads and foam paint will be another way for the children to practice their writing. The trays will give children the opportunity to contain the materials being used during fun, motivating, messy activities. The trays will also foster independence when it comes to cleaning up each individual space.
