The materials and supplies I am requesting for my students will help to engage and make learning fun for my first graders in math. My students thrive with hands-on materials and absolutely love being able to explore through multiple learning strategies. My students beg to go to stations and these materials will make their requests possible by allowing my students the option to play bingo while learning addition, create numbers with magnetic base ten blocks, or use Hot Dots to practice subtraction skills; the possibilities are endless with your help! The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding and make learning meaningful for each and every one of them! Some of the ways your donation will help our classroom is by my students being able to use a pan balance to help weigh various objects; thermometers to check the temperature daily for our weather unit; 120 mat for every day use with number sense and calendar math; and our counting and place value pocket chart for our every day calendar math.
