The reading ability of students in my classroom ranges from kindergarten to beyond 2nd grade. My current classroom library offers only a small range of decodable texts and picture books that will not sufficiently challenge the advanced readers at their instructional and independent levels. A donation to this project will put books into the hands of curious, eager and intelligent readers, that are often overlooked, because they are performing above grade level. It is imperative to offer books that students cannot wait to pickup and read. Books that humor them, interest them, and take them on an adventure. When was the last time you read a book that you couldn't put down?

About my class
