All of my students will learn to play some type of instrument. Some students are unable to afford a recorder. I'm limited with a certain amount of instruments such as recorders. This helps with the idea of basic note reading. All of my students have the potential to learn how to play an instrument even if it is a recorder. As my students progress, my students will be able to build self-confidence, show commitment, and help build a sense of teamwork. The recorders will play many roles in the program. My students will be able to learn how to read musical notation and rhythms, play songs together, and build a sense of musicianship. Some of my students have never been in the band. This will be the perfect opportunity for my General Music Students to learn how to play a musical instrument.
