In high poverty schools, students often feel defeated by their circumstances and even by their overwhelmed parents. I strive to stop the cycle of poverty by educating and motivating young students to create goals for themselves. Setting high expectations, guiding progress, and celebrating their successes gives them a strong sense of accomplishment. I use Helen Keller as a role model and teaching tool of overcoming whatever life throws at you!
