My school's population consists is many minorities including Asians, African Americans and Latinos. As a whole, our students are very sweet, caring and work hard everyday. They want to achieve but due to school limitations, social-emotional and language barriers many struggle to excel academically. As a school we try hard to meet the needs of the students and parents with external outreach, counselors, pull outs, push ins, etc. My school is located at the foothills in San Jose, CA. We are a 5 schools school district serving pre-k all the way to 8th grade. We serve over 1000 students yearly and many our students are from low income families.We are a title 1 district.
