3-5 year-old children in my morning and afternoon peer inclusion preschool classes come to school 4-5 days per week. I strive to provide a language rich learning environment full of opportunities to play, explore and become ready for kindergarten. Children with developmental delays learn alongside their typical peers in a setting focused on social, emotional, and cognitive, and physical development. While our diverse neighborhood is full of generous families and community members who support student learning at our Title 1 school as much as they can, access to resources can be a challenge. I want to provide my students with the best preschool experience possible, give them experiences that support their learning through exploration and play, and to nurture social and emotional growth. Thank you for taking the time to read about my classroom and my students.
