As a teacher, my learning is never done. My students teach me so much every single day. As a seventh year special education teacher, I am still learning so many things about students individual needs. All of my students are very bright and have a thirst for knowledge, but they sometimes struggle to remain fully engaged in lessons throughout the day. I am continually learning of new programs and centers that can be used within my classroom to instruct my students, but most importantly I am learning more things that I can do to help keep students inside the regular education classroom with their peers. With the help of DonorsChoose and the support of so many donors, I have been able to provide alternative seating options within my classroom and have been able to place technology in the hands of my students. But most importantly, I have been able to show my students that they are loved by people all over the country.
